Brother Raghava and Sister Mary, Amazing Children's Home India.

“A Christmas Prayer…”

Christmas 2015 found Brother Raghava on his knees praying that someone, anyone, would answer his prayers and bring the support they so desperately needed to help keep the “Bible Lovers” Children’s Home open. He would later share with me that he and Sister Mary were just days away from having to close their doors.

That Christmas, AOI reached out to Brother Raghava and Sister Mary and asked how we could help, and they have been our India mission partners ever since.

Since then, AOI has been blessed with tremendous support from our donors and foundation partner (MPB Charitable) for our India family. Because the children had moved several times, it was a huge blessing when our grant was approved to build a children’s home, which we completed in late February of this year.

You see, Brother Raghava knows all too well what it’s like to be a child living on the streets in India, as he spent most of his childhood at a railway station begging for food from the passengers that would pass him by.

Raghava spent his early days waking up to the harsh reality of life without parents or anyone to care for him and vowed to care for India’s little ones if God ever gave him a chance.

He later found love and hope at a nearby orphanage, which ultimately changed the course of his life and set him on the path he now follows, caring for the vulnerable, orphaned, and abandoned children of India.
