“AOI Is Partnering With Global Vision!”
We are excited to announce that over the next 18 months, Amazing Orphans International will be rolling out Global Vision 2020 to our mission partners in India, and Ghana, with additional countries to follow.
Invented by Kevin White, a U.S. Marine and Navy Academy graduate, Global Vision is an innovative way of delivering prescription level eye care into remote areas of the world. We anticipate that 35 percent of our children could greatly benefit from this new outreach.
How Does It Work?
First, a device is worn like a pair of glasses with dials on each side of the eye. These dials are then used to dial in the prescription while looking at an eye chart.
Once the prescription is known, frames are chosen, and lenses are snapped into place. It’s as simple as that. Our goal is to get our children as close to 20/20 vision as possible.
